26 and 27th June - Practice and NK World Championship

The 2026 Scrapco Metal & Waste Recycling Ninja Kart World Championship takes place on Saturday 27th June 2026 at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. To confirm, this event is a one day event, with the Scottish Open Championship taking place on Saturday 3rd October.

Seeded allocations have been sent to all promotions for the World Championship itself. Following a number of queries and requests, we will also be running support races for non-qualifying drivers. This will see 2 pre-meeting races take place for them, in addition to a ‘final’ for them during the course of the main event. With this in mind, practice on Saturday afternoon will be limited.

Paid practice will take place on Friday 26th June, 5-8pm and is open to all ORCi formula. Race teams are requested to book in for this by contacting us via messenger or on 07584837445.

This meeting will close with our annual caravan banger grand prix.

Van Bangers 20th June

Van Bangers - 20th June 2026

Round 2 of the Dhoom- Indian Streatery Cash Chaser Series takes place on 20th June at Lochgelly Raceway.

Vans must be single wheel rear axle only and no smaller than an Astra Van.

- All plastic trim, bumpers and arches etc must be removed
- All glass removed and cleared out the van before racing

Build rules are as per the ORCi National Bangers Van Build Spec -

- Roll cages must be a minimum of one acrow bar up to a maximum of a full roll cage. If the single bar option is used, it must be fitted centrally behind the driver’s seat, plated top and bottom, minimum four bolts per plate. A full roll cage is recommended on fibreglass bodies and flat fronted vans, so as to help protect the driver’s feet. If fibreglass type body, then the door plate can be welded to the roll cage on the driver’s side. The driver’s seat must be secured at shoulder height to the door pillars or cage, if fitted. If for example an LDV high top fibreglass roof van is used than you may use two bars going up with cross bars, with two bars going back at 45 degrees. Each promotion may have additional regulations – please check.
- An engine guard is permitted. The scrutineer’s decision is final.
- Vans with independent chassis, the rear end must be removed back up to the rear spring hanger, to allow the body to collapse.
- If it is not possible to fit a water tank within the National Banger rules above, the local Promoter may allow the fitment elsewhere within the vehicle.
- Engines must be in original position.
- No air cooled ‘Plant’ type engines
- Roll cage must not extend beyond the front bulkhead.
- Sliding channels must be removed from side doors and the doors welded or bolted shut

Office Closed

Hardie Race Promotions would like to make race teams and spectators aware that our office will be closed from Wednesday 8th April and will re-open on Friday 24th April.

Emails, WhatsApp and Messages will be monitored over this period, however, replies may be delayed. Our phone will be switched off over this period.

Race teams are asked to book in for events for the 11th, 18th and 25th April as soon as possible.

Junior Production National Championship

Junior Production National Championship

The Junior Production National Championship takes place on Saturday 16th May at HRP Lochgelly Raceway.

We've been asked a few times about running a practice on the evening of Friday 15th May. Before we confirm this, and cost, would there be sufficient interest in this practice going ahead? Let us know in the comments if you would be keen for this.

Drivers/Teams would need to book in in advance - payable on the day - and would be open to all ORCi formula.

Junior Bangers

Junior Bangers

Following on from discussions with the JBA, Hardie Race Promotions, Crimond Raceway and Cowdenbeath Racewall are pleased to announce that an introduction of a Scottish series will be run for the Junior Banger formula.

We believe that the Junior Banger formula now play an essential part in nurturing potential future banger racing (Adult classes) talent, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to further build the formula here in Scotland with a Silver roof up for grabs at the end of the year. Furthermore, a points chart will enable us to determine grades for the Scottish based drivers that only regularly race in Scotland.

In order to be eligible for the Scottish series, drivers must hold a JBA ORCi license with either Spedeworth, Kings Lynn, Skegness or Yorstox, AND reside in Scotland. Drivers living outside of Scotland won’t be included in the Scottish Points Chart, but can participate in the Scottish meetings, with the approval of their licensing promotor. In all cases, all drivers must book in through their licensing promotor for all events in Scotland.

No day licenses are permitted for Junior Bangers, and any driver racing on a non ORCi JBA track will face a 12m ban.
